Volunteer Reader

Volunteer Readers are vital to SMART Reading, providing the one-on-one reading attention that supports PreK through third-grade kids in gaining confidence in their reading abilities and discovering the love of reading. Volunteer Site Coordinator

Volunteer Site Coordinators perform essential tasks, working with SMART Reading and site staff to implement and oversee the program throughout the program year. Because of the leadership of Volunteer Site Coordinators, kids and volunteers throughout the state of Oregon are able to participate in SMART Reading. Under the Volunteer Site Coordinator’s guidance, SMART Reading is able to provide one-on-one reading support and books to thousands of children, creating brighter futures for kids and a better educated Oregon.
